After Circus, the Tuscan company continues its 2026 journey with a collection that combines formal simplicity and thermal resistance from 0° to 90°.
Light is the name of the new ultra-thin glass line by RCR, the second new product presented at the Ambiente trade fair alongside Circus.
The collection consists of three items — Highball, Double Old Fashion and Lowball — which share a simple, elegant design and a conical shape designed to facilitate stacking and optimise space even in the most demanding operating conditions.
One of the distinctive features of the line is its thermal resistance, which allows the glasses to withstand even the most intense conditions of use. The ultra-thin glass ensures structural strength and temperature stability of the contents, from 0° to 90°. This is essential in professional contexts with high operational intensity, where glasses quickly go from dishwashers at very high temperatures to direct contact with ice.
‘This launch is part of our strategy to develop technical tools for the HORECA market that are also suitable for home use,’ emphasises Fabio Lupi, Sales & Marketing Director at RCR. ‘For professional and intensive use, glasses must be reliable: they come out of the dishwasher very hot and are immediately filled with ice. They must be resistant, maintain their integrity and performance. Light was created for this purpose.’
Light is designed to meet the needs of contemporary mixology in terms of performance, aesthetics and service. The Highball and Double Old Fashion glasses are perfect for the most popular cocktails, including those served ‘on the rocks’, while the Lowball completes the range with great flexibility, adapting to spirits, tastings, water and food, from snacks and olives to desserts and fruit salads. The Double Old Fashion is also suitable for fruit juices, soft drinks and mocktails, further expanding its range of uses. In addition, for beer consumption, the Light Highball glass – with a capacity equal to that of a pint (470-500 ml) – helps to maintain a controlled head and enhances the creaminess of types such as Stouts.
The line is based on Luxion®, the superior sound glass patented by RCR. Its composition guarantees extraordinary transparency, shine and brilliance, combined with high performance in terms of strength and durability. Dishwasher safe and 100% recyclable, Luxion® represents a synthesis of aesthetics and technological innovation, confirming itself as the ideal material for intensive and professional use.
“Quality and passion cannot be copied,” says Roberto Pierucci, CEO of RCR. “They are the result of experience, research and industrial culture. With Light, we wanted to demonstrate that formal simplicity and technical performance can coexist authentically, offering the market a reliable tool designed for those who work with our products every day.”
Light is a product that appeals to a wide range of audiences: from the Ho.Re.Ca. sector to chains and retail stores, to beverage manufacturers who can customise the glasses to strengthen their brand identity. This versatility expands commercial opportunities and consolidates RCR’s presence in various distribution channels.
With Light, RCR continues its journey to evolve the glass from a simple container to a technical tool at the service of professionals. Each product is created in dialogue with the food & beverage world and developed through collaborations with specialists and associations, both national and international, with the aim of integrating functionality, aesthetics and innovation. The launch of the Light line is another step towards a 2026 that is set to bring many more innovations in the coming months, confirming RCR as a reliable and innovative partner for the sector.
