Grinding Department
RCR’s production process is enhanced by the presence
of an in-house grinding department, which allows highly valuable customizations. The engravings are carried out by specialized personnel with diamond-coated cutting wheels and, depending on the customer’s requirements, can be made either opaque or polished, with a design that is totally customizable.

Color
The coloring applied is of organic nature and certified. It is applied through nebulized air, offering a color translucent color that is dishwasher safe.
All products subjected to coloring can be used for food use. Depending on customer requirements, it can be applied on a part of the product or on its entirety, through a technique called total body.

Laser
High-tech process that uses laser light to engrave the product allowing a very detailed decoration. It is a flexible customization method suitable for any type of logo that can be applied to any smooth surface. Band decorations or indicators, ideal for tasting glasses, are also possible.

Sand Engraving
The design on the product is achieved by a blast of sand that creates a very refined matt effect, similar to a manual process. The engraving is deeper than a laser etching, but more nuanced and essential in detail. It can be made on walls, discs and bottom.

Serigraphy
It is the process that allows the application of a greater number of details and the only one that allows the application of colored decorations with certified organic pigments.

Gold and Platinum edging
A preferred technique for enriching the composition of the mise-en-place. Gold and Platinum varnishing, with variations of tone and thickness according to the customer’s requirements, gives great value to the products. It is possible to make these kinds of decorations on the edge and foot of the product.

Incisioni
Each article can be customized with the company logo engraved in the glass. For tumblers it is possible to place the logo on the bottom or on the wall, making it clearly visible each time it is used, while for the goblet it can also be placed on the disc or on the paraison. This possibility requires limited investment and low production minimums, with a certain return in terms of image and a high level production quality.

Within RCR, the division provides customers with a team of glass experts who, after a careful analysis
of the requirements, provide an in-depth customized service. The highly qualified staff supports the client throughout the entire production process, from design to production, eventually including prototyping and sample production.

In addition to the glass moulding sector, the mould workshop has gained experience in other sectors such as marble machines, plastic and pneumatic moulds, carbon and nautical moulds, machine parts for glass, food and pharmaceutical sectors.

Design
The Industrial Design department, which is in charge of product engineering and mould design, two in-house services offered to RCR customers, receives information from the customer and transforms it into the 2D/3D CAD drawings required for the following machining on Numerically Controlled Milling Machines.
Polishing
Mould production is based on operations performed on automatic machines, but manual and semi-automatic mirror polishing is equally necessary to make a mould suitable for glass production. Finally, maintenance is indispensable to extend the life of the mould.
