Our history is rooted in craftsmanship and hand production, as a testimonial to our deep knowledge of crystal and our passion for this material.

Most significant milestones:

• 1967, the company was officially founded, with the merger of CALB and La Piana, two companies with a deep-rooted tradition of craftsmanship 
• 1973, the year when CALP first introduced an electric melting furnace and our first automated production line
• 1975, set up of the first plant for the automatic production of stemware
• 1987-2003listed on the Milanstock exchange
• 1996, which saw us achieving quality assurance targets as per the norms foreseen byUNI EN ISO 90011997,
• 2000, with the installation of the world’s largest existing electric melting furnace, for the production of crystal.
• 2004, the achievement of Vision 2000
• 2007 CALP becomes RCR CRISTALLERIA ITALIANA
• 2008Luxionis born, an innovative material,  born of the extensive research carried out at the RCR laboratories, a registered trade mark and an international patent pending.
• 2010 RCR relaunches the brand image through many initiatives driven by innovation
